A Single Mom’s Field Notes

Are you, or someone you love dearly, flying solo with this whole mothering a preteen or teen daughter thing?

I’ve loved bringing our series of Field Notes episodes to you — real dispatches from wise mamas in the midst of raising preteen and teen daughters just like you.

Today I have the delight of sharing Khatija Dadabhoy with you. She’s a brilliant counselor, coach and reiki practitioner. And everything she teaches, she’s learned: she’s a single mama to her two daughters: 11 year-old Amira and 14 year-old Ghalia, and she’s moved through trauma into freedom, expansion, strength and courage (and yes the journey included a difficult divorce).

Khatija believes in the power of the heart, and that the work we do in our inner space to become the healthiest versions of ourselves affects and changes the world around us. I couldn’t agree more!

You ready for some real nourishment?

And to feel less alone (whether you’re solo parenting or not)?

— because collective wisdom rocks,
and we want to hear your take.

We need each other, mama.
Love,

P.S. Forward this video to a single mama in your circle. Because sharing is caring, and everyone could use a stronger bond.
