Have you had the experience of what is often referred to as the dark night of the soul, where you had a painful spiritual awakening? And did you wish you had had a medial provider who understood it in this context?
Psychiatrist and mama Dr Kelly Brogan MD understands.
She also speaks our language. She refers to anxiety and depression as symptoms from the soul.
She is a the mother of two daughters and she experiences mothering as a spiritual path. In this interview, she encourages us mamas to see the mental health of our motherline as something that we have the power to heal.
And symptoms that we and our daughters do not have to inherit
Her new book, Own Yourself: The Surprising Path beyond Depression, Anxiety, and Fatigue to Reclaiming Your Authenticity, Vitality and Freedom just came out!

So much I could relate to. Thank you for the interview & sharing wisdom (to both women!). Looking forward to listening to the book (grateful it’s on Audible!).
I have learnt so much from Kelly, don’t know where i would be if not stumbled across her, fate, was very ill and getting sicker, needed a detox, chemicals, heavy metals and meds, not a great cobo, and lies from the NHS, but faith in Kelly got me out, i listened to all her videos and book around 5 years ago and now i am well, bit harmed but living. Thanks Kelly, i knew truth when i heard it and like Kelly lived on the masculine side, so her delivery appealed to me, niceness and that i didn’t need i wanted a sciency straight talking plan and got one through Kelly. Owe her much.
Such a beautiful, inspiring and moving interview with Kelly… She is such a vector of love and courage. Thank you for sharing her wisdom with all of us!
Such wisdom, thank you. I love what you say about breaking the chains of the previous generations. It is not an easy process but what an incredible legacy to leave for our children if we can achieve it.
