WHERE MOMS AND TEEN (AND PRETEEN) DAUGHTERS THRIVE, NOT JUST SURVIVE

We’ve got cool news for you about your daughter.

Your preteen or teen daughter actually wants and needs you to be more connected, not less.

(We promise, we asked her, well, a lot of girls her age.)

But she also wants to connect in a different way. Even if she doesn’t know how to say it.

Welcome to a new approach to mother-daughter relationships where thriving, not just surviving, is the new normal.

If you’re a busy mother who wants a real, soulful relationship with her preteen or teen daughter, you’re in the right place.

It’s a Relationship Revolution Between Two Covers

Two women hugging on a sandy beach with a cloudy blue sky and sparse vegetation in the background.
Two women smiling and embracing against a purple wall, one with shoulder-length brown hair wearing a cream-colored blazer, and the other with long dark hair wearing a black off-shoulder top and hoop earrings.
Two women with long, curly hair, close together with foreheads touching, outdoors under a blue sky, sharing a moment of affection.
A woman and a young girl smiling and holding hands.
Two women sitting on a cream-colored couch, smiling at the camera in a bright living room with natural light, a sideboard, and potted plants in the background.

“If these challenges [between mother and daughter] are a generational thing, Sil has surely broken the pattern with her own daughter.”

Who are we?

We are Eliza and Sil, a mother-daughter dynamic duo and co-founders of Mothering & Daughtering.

We co-authored our best-selling book Mothering & Daughtering: Keeping Your Bond Strong Through the Teen Years (which is also an audiobook that we narrated), and we taught thousands of mothers and daughters in live sold-out workshops across the country.

We no longer teach workshops together - but our body of work is preserved in our book. Find out what we are up to these days on our ABOUT page.
