Eliza is a sophomore at Brown University where she is studying developmental and social psychology, Gender Studies, political science, dance, and nonfiction writing. She has also studied at the Breadloaf Conference for Young Writers at Middlebury College, and helped found Scarlet, a magazine for teenage girls, at her high school. Along with a small and diverse group of teenage girls, Eliza recently served as an advisor to Eve Ensler for her newly released set of monologues for girls, I Am An Emotional Creature: The Secret Lives of Girls Around the World.
Eliza was a peer-counselor throughout high school, and an S.O.S. trained educator for Planned Parenthood. She continues to use these skills working in Providence city schools as a sexual health educator. She is a counselor with The Wayfinder Experience summer theatre camp which is based in New York's Hudson Valley. Starting in 2009, she co-created and led weekend summer camps entitled New Moon. New Moon's mission is to empower "the feminine" side of teenagers of all genders through life skills workshops and different forms of artistic expression. She has been leading Mothering & Daughtering weekend workshops with her mother, Sil Reynolds, since 2006. Eliza is working on a book entitled Mothering & Daughtering: How to Create a Deep and Enduring Relationship Through the Teen Years, due out in Spring 2012.
